Lemon Garlic Butter Chicken and Green Beans Skillet
🛒 What You’ll Need
- 1.5 lbs Boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts), chopped into bite-sized pieces 🍗
- 1 lb Fresh green beans, trimmed 🌿
- 3 tbsp Unsalted butter 🧈
- 1 tbsp Olive oil 🫒
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced 🧄
- 1 Large lemon (half juiced, half sliced into rounds) 🍋
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika & ½ tsp Onion powder ✨
- A pinch of red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat!) 🌶️
- Salt & Black pepper to taste 🧂🖤
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish 🌿
👩🍳 Instructions
- Season the Chicken: Pat your chicken dry and season generously with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and onion powder. 🍗🧂🌶️
- Sear to Golden: Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in a single layer and sear until golden brown and cooked through (about 5–7 minutes). Remove chicken and set aside. 🍳🔥⏲️
- Cook the Beans: In the same skillet, add the green beans and a splash of water. Cover and steam for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove the cover and sauté until any remaining water evaporates. 🌿💧💨
- The Garlic Butter Magic: Push the beans to the side and melt the remaining 2 tbsp of butter in the center. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1 minute until it smells amazing! 🧈🧄👃✨
- Combine & Zest: Toss the chicken back into the skillet. Stir in the fresh lemon juice and add the lemon slices to the pan. Toss everything together for 1–2 minutes so the flavors meld. 🍋🌀🤝
- Final Flourish: Garnish with plenty of fresh parsley as seen in the photo! 🌿👑✨
- Serve: Enjoy immediately right out of the pan! 🍽️😋
🔥 Pro Tips:
- The “Tender” Secret: If your green beans are extra thick, blanch them in boiling water for 2 minutes before adding them to the skillet to ensure they aren’t too tough. 🌿🛡️💎
- Pan Sauce Hack: Don’t wash the pan after cooking the chicken! Those brown bits (fond) at the bottom are flavor gold that will make your garlic butter sauce even tastier. 🥘🎯✨
