Taco lasagna

🛒 What You’ll Need

  • 2 lbs Ground beef 🥩
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning 🌶️
  • 4 cups Shredded cheddar cheese 🧀
  • 6 large Flour tortillas 🫓
  • 1 cup Salsa (plus more for layering!) 🍅
  • 1 cup Sour cream 🥛
  • ½ cup Diced tomatoes 🍅
  • ¼ cup Chopped green onions 🧅

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prep the Meat: Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain the excess fat and stir in the taco seasoning and half of your salsa. 🥩🔥🌪️
  2. Start the Layers: Spread a thin layer of salsa at the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish. Place two flour tortillas on top (you may need to trim them to fit!) as shown in the photo! 📐🫓
  3. Build It Up: Spread 1/3 of the meat mixture over the tortillas, followed by a layer of sour cream and a generous sprinkle of cheddar cheese. 🥄☁️🧀
  4. Repeat: Add two more tortillas and repeat the layers of meat, sour cream, and cheese until you reach the top. 🏗️🧀🥩
  5. The Cheesy Top: End with a final layer of tortillas topped with the remaining cheese, diced tomatoes, and green onions for that beautiful, vibrant look! 🍅🧅✨
  6. Bake to Perfection: Bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden-brown as seen in the perfect finished dish! ⏲️📈🔥
  7. Serve: Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing into perfect, multi-layered squares. Top with an extra dollop of sour cream if you like! 🍽️😋🧤✨

🔥 Pro Tips:

  • The “Clean Slice” Secret: Letting the lasagna rest for a few minutes after it comes out of the oven is key! It allows the layers to set so you get those beautiful, clean slices shown in the picture. 🔪🛡️💎
  • The “Crunch” Hack: If you prefer a bit of extra texture, you can use corn tortillas or even layer in some crushed tortilla chips between the meat and cheese! 🌽🎯✨
