Honey Garlic Shrimp, Sausage, and Broccoli

🛒 What You’ll Need

  • 1 lb Large shrimp (peeled and deveined) 🦐
  • 1 lb Smoked sausage or Andouille, sliced into rounds 🌭
  • 3 cups Fresh broccoli florets 🥦
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil 🫒
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced 🧄
  • 1/3 cup Honey 🍯
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce (low sodium) 🥣
  • 1 tbsp Fresh lemon juice 🍋
  • 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes (optional for heat!) 🌶️

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prep the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Set aside. 🍯🥣🌪️
  2. Sear the Sausage: Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausage rounds and cook until browned and crispy on both sides. Remove and set aside. 🌭🔥
  3. Steam-Sauté Broccoli: Add the remaining oil and the broccoli to the same skillet with a splash of water. Cover for 2–3 minutes to steam until bright green and tender-crisp. 🥦💨
  4. Cook the Shrimp: Push the broccoli to the side and add the shrimp to the pan. Cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. 🦐🎯
  5. The Sticky Glaze: Pour the honey garlic sauce over everything in the skillet. Add the sausage back into the pan. 🍯🌀
  6. Toss & Caramelize: Toss everything together for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats every piece in a shiny, sticky glaze. 🌟😋
  7. Serve: Enjoy it as-is for a low-carb meal, or serve it over a bed of fluffy white rice or quinoa! 🍽️🍚🤤

🔥 Pro Tips:

  • Don’t Overcrowd: If your pan is small, cook the shrimp in batches so they sear instead of steaming—this keeps them juicy! 🦐🎯
  • Fresh vs. Frozen: You can use frozen broccoli, just make sure to thaw and pat it dry first so the sauce doesn’t get watered down. 🥦💎
